San Diego Nerd is an independent local guide to nerd life in San Diego: game stores, arcades, karaoke rooms, conventions, tech meetups, and the community around them. It exists because most "things to do" lists for this city are either stale or written by people who have never been to the places they recommend.

How listings are verified

Every place on the map is checked against current reviews and the venue's own site before it goes up, and each pin is geocoded from the street address. If a location closes or moves, it gets removed or corrected rather than left to rot. Event dates on the events page come from the organizers' official sites, and each listing links to the source so you can confirm before making plans.

Corrections

See something wrong or missing? A store that closed, an event that moved, a spot that deserves a pin? Tell us and it gets fixed. That feedback loop is the whole point of the site.

Coverage

The core focus is San Diego County, from Oceanside down to the border. The map also includes a handful of standout spots in Orange County, the Inland Empire, and Tijuana, because nerds drive for the good stuff.
